Cabbage Pie

Ingredients

  • 500 g flour
  • 300 ml water
  • 100 ml vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 large cabbage
  • 2 onions
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. First, prepare the dough. In a deep bowl, mix the flour and salt.
  2. Gradually add the water and vegetable oil, knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Shred the cabbage and onion, sauté in a pan until softened.
  5. Add eggs, salt, and pepper to the cabbage and mix well.
  6. Divide the dough in half, roll out each part, and line one in a baking dish.
  7. Place the filling on the dough, cover with the second part of the dough, and shape it into a pie.
  8. Make several slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  9. Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 40-50 minutes.
  10. Let the finished pie cool slightly before serving.
