  • Turmeric 1 Teaspoon
  • Carom seeds 1 Teaspoon
  • Black pepper 2 Teaspoons
  • Garam masala 1 Teaspoon
  • Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  • Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Water 1 Cup
hana_masala-4455.jpgPrepare the garlic paste: Mix and mash 1 part garlic with 3 parts ginger.

hana_masala-4458.jpgHeat a pan over medium heat, add oil. Sauté the onions for 5 minutes. Add the chopped bell pepper and garlic paste. Simmer for a bit.

hana_masala-4460.jpgGradually mix the spice sauce into the onions, cooking for 5 minutes. Add the chopped tomatoes and sauté with the other ingredients. Season with salt, water, and previously prepared chickpeas.
