Recipe for Traditional Paska

The perfect dish for celebrating Easter, Paska is a symbol of joy and hope. Prepare this treat by following our simple steps.

Ingredients

  • 400 g of cottage cheese
  • 200 g of sour cream
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g of butter
  • 50 g of raisins
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • a pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Mash the cottage cheese with a spoon or through a sieve to eliminate lumps.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream and softened butter, mix until homogeneous.
  4. Combine the cottage cheese with the egg-sour cream mixture, add vanilla and salt, and mix well.
  5. Finally, add the raisins and mix everything thoroughly once again.
  6. Place the mixture into a mold and press it down firmly. Refrigerate for 5-6 hours, preferably overnight.
  7. Before serving, remove the Paska from the mold and decorate as desired.
