Simple Yogurt Cake
This delicate and refreshing yogurt-based cake is easy to make at home. French cuisine is renowned for its desserts, and this recipe is a vivid testament to that.
Ingredients:
- 500 g yogurt
- 200 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 250 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- pinch of salt
- chopped fruits to taste
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix the eggs and sugar, whisking until fluffy.
- Add the yogurt and continue whisking until the mixture is smooth.
- Sift the flour with baking powder and salt, gently fold into the yogurt mixture.
- If using fruits, add them at this stage.
- Pour the batter into a baking pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 35-40 minutes.
- Check for doneness by inserting a skewer in the center: it should come out dry.
- Cool the cake before serving and optionally garnish with fruits or powdered sugar.
