Fish Pie Recipe

Making a fish-filled pie at home is a great way to delight yourself and your loved ones. We use ready-made puff pastry to simplify the process.

Ingredients:

  • Ready-made puff pastry – 500 g
  • Fish (salmon or cod) – 400 g
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Salt, pepper – to taste
  • Dill – optional

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Sauté finely chopped onion in a skillet until golden brown.
  3. Add the chopped fish, season with salt and pepper, and cook for a few more minutes.
  4. Pour the egg into the fish filling, mix, and add dill.
  5. Roll out the pastry and place it on a baking sheet.
  6. Spread the prepared filling on the pastry and cover with a second layer of pastry.
  7. Make small slits for steam to escape and brush with egg.
  8. Bake the pie for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the finished pie cool before serving.
