Fish Pie Recipe
Making a fish-filled pie at home is a great way to delight yourself and your loved ones. We use ready-made puff pastry to simplify the process.
Ingredients:
- Ready-made puff pastry – 500 g
- Fish (salmon or cod) – 400 g
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Salt, pepper – to taste
- Dill – optional
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Sauté finely chopped onion in a skillet until golden brown.
- Add the chopped fish, season with salt and pepper, and cook for a few more minutes.
- Pour the egg into the fish filling, mix, and add dill.
- Roll out the pastry and place it on a baking sheet.
- Spread the prepared filling on the pastry and cover with a second layer of pastry.
- Make small slits for steam to escape and brush with egg.
- Bake the pie for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the finished pie cool before serving.
