Classic Russian Borscht
This aromatic borscht is sure to become a part of your menu. Follow this simple recipe to make the perfect beet-based dish.
Ingredients
- 1 beet
- 2 potatoes
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 300 g cabbage
- 500 g beef
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Herbs for garnish
Preparation
- Cook the beef in two liters of water, skimming off the foam.
- Add the diced potatoes and cook for 15 minutes.
- Add the beet, carrot, and onion sautéed in vegetable oil.
- Finally, add the cabbage and let it steep for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with herbs.
