Marinated Carrots

  • Carrots (400-500 grams) 5-6 Pieces
  • Water 1.5 Cup
  • Vinegar (Can be replaced with cider or dry white wine.) 1 Cup
  • Sugar 1/4 Cup
  • Salt 1.5 Tbsp
  • Cumin (seeds) 1 Tbsp
  • Freshly ground black pepper 1 Tbsp
  • Bay leaf (Can be omitted.) 1-2 Pieces

marinovannaya_morkov-73822.jpg2. On the stove, heat salted water. Bring to a boil. Meanwhile, prepare the carrots: peel and cut them into sticks.
marinovannaya_morkov-73824.jpg3. Blanch the peeled carrots in salted water for 2-3 minutes, then remove with a slotted spoon and place in a colander. Transfer the processed and dried carrots to sterilized jars.
marinovannaya_morkov-73825.jpg4. Add the spices and vinegar to the salted water, excluding the bay leaf. Bring to a boil and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Place the bay leaf in the jar with the carrots and pour the hot marinade over them.
