Recipe for Sponge Cake with Kiwi and Strawberry

This exquisite sponge cake with fruit decoration, such as kiwi and strawberry, will be a magnificent dessert for a celebration, especially for a birthday.

Ingredients

  • Eggs - 5 pieces
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Flour - 1.5 cups
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Whipping cream - 500 ml
  • Kiwi - 3 pcs
  • Strawberries - 300 g

Cooking Process

  1. In a deep bowl, mix the eggs with sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add the flour and mix to avoid lumps.
  3. Add the baking powder and mix the batter thoroughly again.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased mold and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30-35 minutes.
  5. When the sponge cake has cooled, carefully cut it into two layers.
  6. Prepare the cream and spread it on one layer, then cover with the second layer.
  7. Cover the top with the remaining cream and decorate with sliced kiwi and strawberries.
  8. Wait at least 1 hour before serving to allow the cake to soak.
